The App is built on the Ionic Framework that provides program libraries with functionality available to use location data, camera, access storage, etc. – NONE of these functionalities are used in the Coach Training Companion App.

This Coach Training Companion is the App I wanted when I first trained as a Coach. There are many sources out there that provide wonderfully detailed guides on specific coaching models and these are fantastic when you have experience and have found a coaching style or philosophy that you feel drawn to. There are also many books that give brief accounts of different models but no real examples of how to use these Powerful questions. And there are more books that provide a list of questions without any rationale for why and where to use them.

This App tries to balance the content, providing a brief overview of coaching skills, coaching models, and the questions you might choose within those models. Where this App differs is that it also provides the rationale behind the questions and where, when, and why you might ask that particular question.
This is not designed to be a prescriptive guide. Many of the questions can be used in other contexts, with various models, and in different stages of the coaching conversation. These questions are provided as examples for when they may be used. As you become familiar with the questions and their suggested usage, you will find more uses and contexts in which to use them, and create your own variations and interpretations of these inquiries.

If you are serious about Coaching as a profession, we recommend that you seek formal training. This App is a companion to your coach training.It is also a reference piece for coaches on their journey to serving the world.

It is likewise a reminder for experienced coaches who may wish to pick it up and tap through the questions in search of a prompt when they are stuck.Remember, coaching is in service of the coachee; this App aspires to give you the confidence and fluency to serve your coachee’s well.
